🔦 Member Spotlight! Japneet Kalkat – CEO of Trailflow AI ✨

For February 2026, we wanted to feature Japneet Kalkat, one of PEI’s latest up-and-coming founders. Japneet is currently building Trailflow AI, which offers complete logistics management for accurate and seamless operations.

About Japneet Kalkat – CEO of Trailflow AI✨

I’m Japneet Kalkat, a software developer and founder based in Prince Edward Island. I grew up between India and the United States, and moved to PEI in 2022 — then quickly realized I didn’t want to leave. I earned my Bachelor’s in Computer Science at UPEI, and I’ve been building software for 12 years with a focus on turning messy, manual workflows into clean, reliable systems.

About Trailflow

I’m building Trailflow, a unified logistics operating system for carriers and brokerages. Logistics teams often juggle a fragmented stack — emails, PDFs, spreadsheets, legacy TMS tools, telematics portals, and accounting — which leads to rework, missed details, and slower billing. Trailflow focuses on one unit of work: the load lifecycle, end-to-end.

Current projects & exciting news 🧩
Building ATLAS, Trailflow’s AI layer that supports real operations workflows — not just chat. ATLAS can help with document-heavy processes (like extracting information from emailed PDFs), draft communications, and proactively surface operational issues. We’re also building AI-driven recommendations and human-approved “actions” (with clear audit trails), plus durable playbooks that can monitor exceptions and escalate when attention is needed.

Looking ahead 👀⏩
Continued expansion of ATLAS features around proactive exception detection, safer automation with human oversight, and faster document-to-action workflows.
More early-adopter onboarding and partnerships through 2026.
